A Traditional approach
Painless Free-hand needling technique
Once here, you can expect a traditional experience based only on techniques that have a long and reliable track record. As part of this traditional experience, Dr. Lee exclusively uses a free-hand needling technique. Free hand needling has many benefits which include pinpoint accuracy of needle location, something that is impossible to achieve using a guide-tube. Free hand also allows for a greater sensitivity to the tissue layers, allowing the practitioner to better feel for tension, knots, energetic qualities, and even a lack of any of these things.
Dr. Andrew Lee
MSTCM, DACM, Dipl. O.M., L.Ac
Andrew had a passion for acupuncture and Eastern Medicine since childhood, taking herbal medicine made by his grandparents as young as 4, and watching family elders give treatments at 7 years old. This early influence and multi-generational lineage brought about many years of additional study into classical Eastern Medical texts which gave him a unique perspective.
Andrew has obtained his Masters of Science degree, passed the California Acupuncture License Exam, obtained a Doctorate Degree and is double board certified with the California Acupuncture Board as well as the NCCAOM.
In practice Dr. Lee tends to lean on more traditional methods of diagnosis and treatment, this is due to the belief that it takes many hundreds to thousands of years, spanning millions of treatments and countless patients to arrive at medical practices which are sustainable long term, safe, and have proven efficacy for the patient. For years, Andrew has been on the ever-continuous search for deeper knowledge into the Eastern Medical Classics.
Dr. Lee specializes in pain management & metabolic syndromes (ie. diabetes, hypertension, weight management), & traditional patterns of Oriental Medicine.
